TESTING GROUNDS

"TESTING GROUNDS " in Melbourne just behind the Art Centre spike , is an Open Space. where all kinds of activities take place - film , lots of film making and screening , light experiments and installations , music of all sorts Live big and small happenings and among a plethora of other activities Art 

So I often take there a residency 

As the title has it 

U get Tried on Testing Grounds 

Every time I do something there , under the presence of the Spike changing colours and many lonely nights passing by , I'm always in trouble doing things haven't done before or like last year when I plan something , ended up with something else 

But better , great this is good 

Proof Rhey bought the main piece 

I'm joking , this us not the proof but the justification

So , I ve been all this winter working late cold nights on in the TESTING GROUNDS , on some found / reclaimed old Roots and Logs of wood from the parks of Melbourne 

I didn't cut any , Only what was to be thrown I took 

Brought them in site and since then I slowly deal with them by aid only of 3 chisels and some hammers. Screw drivers proven usefull to 

I made some rough installation , I don't know if u can call them

Statues , but they definitely are Totems 

  So in about 3 weeks , I should have finished painting them as the exibition is taking place on

   Friday the 13 th of November 

Yes of coursd Friday and thirteen It wasn't planned , is one of these weird  synchronicity games that univercies play with their components 

Anyway back to the TOTEMS 

They will be talking about what happens in humanity now and how we experience if 

This is why is called 

     TOTEMS FOR TODAY 

Tidying to grasp the today's evolutionary stage , with the opening of the third eye in process and the "Kundalini " on action as well as to project some of our fears with humor .
